HMD12 Truck Engine Series

The HMD12 Truck Engine Series is engineered to deliver reliable power, high torque, and consistent performance for demanding heavy-duty truck applications. Available in two models, D12.38 and D12.42, the series features a six-cylinder, inline, water-cooled, four-stroke, direct-injection diesel configuration designed to support dependable operation in demanding commercial transport environments.

Featuring an 11.596-litre displacement, a 17:1 compression ratio, and a turbocharged and intercooled intake system, the HMD12 series is built to provide strong power delivery and effective engine performance. With rated power outputs of 279 kW and 309 kW at 2,000 rpm, the two models deliver maximum torque of 1,650 N·m and 1,820 N·m, respectively, across an engine speed range of 1,100–1,500 rpm.

Designed for practical operation and maintenance, the HMD12 series includes an electric-independent mechanical engine configuration, a specified oil sump capacity of 36 litres, and a clockwise crankshaft rotation direction.
